At my initial consultation I was diagnosed quickly and my options were carefully explained. He listened and was very reassuring. My surgery was successful and he made a visit on the afternoon following my operation to check how things were going and answered all my queries. His manner is quiet, careful and very professional.

Dr Robertson was excellent, he put me at ease from our first meeting. He fully explained the procedure prior to me going in for the operation and was fantastic on the day with his calming bedside manor. I would 100% recommend Dr Robertson to anybody requiring his expertise.

Had a consultation with Mr Robertson on the 3rd July regarding my gallbladder. Went through the details of why stones occur and also what the operation and recovery entailed. Agreed to the op, a week later!
Pre and post op, Mr Robertson was calm, assured and his quiet confidence helped any nerves or anxieties on my part.
Some two weeks later, and sans gallbladder, its difficult to see where the procedure took place and my convalescence was relatively pain free.

Mr Robinson is a consummate professional. He has operated on me twice for Lap and Umbilical Hernias. Both operations went perfectly, with no post operation issues. I was discharged in both cases after 2 weeks. In both the pre and post operation discussions Mr Robertson fully explained what the operation involved and the outcome findings.

Gavin Robertson is a Consultant Surgeon in Leicester specialising in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, especially surgery for gallstones having performed more than 4500, with no bile duct injuries and hernias;- inguinal, incisional, umbilical and ventral (more than 5000), He is an expert in the investigation and treatment of abdominal pain and the management of liver and pancreas cancers.
He qualified in 1984 in Leicester, trained in centres across the world before becoming a Consultant in 1999. He has specialised in laparoscopic surgery for over 20 years.
